The BNZ Foundation joined hands with COWYN at The Senior Citizens Appreciation Event held at Falala Hall in Soshanguve, Pretoria

Though the Patron of BNZ Foundation Dr. Bongi Ngema-Zuma could not attend the event, foot soldiers (BNZ Ambassadors) were deployed and the foundation was well represented by:
Prudence Monyelo (Project Leader)
Michael Lubisi (Administrator)
Sthembile Mkhize (Ambassador)

The team presented gifts like BNZ Foundation blankets to the host and founder of COWYN – Ms ThulI Letsoale and boxes of fruits for oGogo koMkhulu.

Extract from the Patron’s speech:

“After a lifetime of working, raising families, traversing harsh laws of the past and steadfastly contributing to the success of our nation in countless other ways, Senior Citizens – oGogo noMkhulu deserve to be appreciated, natured and to retire with dignity.”

“Ukwanda kwezintandane ngenxa yokubhebhetheka kwezifo ezifana no HIV&Aids, early onset and escalation of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) like Hypertension and Diabetes among young people sekwenze abantu abadala kube yibo ababhekelela amakhaya, bese bencisheka ukunakekelwa ngendlela. Kuthi noma uhulumeni ezama ngempesheni ivele iphelele ebantwaneni, oGogo bangabe besakwazi nokuzijabulisa.”

Ngema-Zuma continued to thank the organisers for the platform to express appreciation and join COWYM in saying: Siyabonga Gogo!

OGogo were spoilt with lunch and entertainment.
