First Lady Dr. Bongi Ngema-Zuma, Founder and Patron of the BNZ Foundation, held an exclusive breakfast to commemorate World Diabetes Day. Guests were encouraged to wear blue, as the symbol that represents Diabetes is blue.
The aim of the breakfast was to raise awareness and share information about the country’s second biggest killer diabetes and encourage those who were in attendance to ensure the spread of Diabetes.
Delivering her speech on the latest stats from the International Diabetes Federation. She pointed out the importance of having such dialogues in our communities.
The main speaker who was Dr Neville Wellington, from The Noakes Foundation. Added that we shouldn’t just talk about Diabetes, but we should also dig into our pockets to ensure that people from all walks of life receive the necessary information about this disease.
